The Star of the Sea is a comfortable and intimate state-of-the-art 307 seat training theatre located near the northern end of Manly Beach.

The Star of the Sea is the vehicle for students of Stella Maris College and Stella Maris Institute to gain practical experience in their study of Entertainment and its associated disciplines of lighting, sound and staging.  As a training theatre, Star of the Sea is able to bring you an engaging variety of professional and community productions at a manageable price.

Our 2008 season comprises adult drama, classical and contemporary music, dance, children's theatre and pantomime.

Performing arts celebrate the human condition, our dreams and determination as well as our flaws and foibles. In this age of passive entertainment it bodes well for the evolution of the culture to participate fully and often in live performance both as an active audience member and as a performer.
